Unfortunately tried to book too late. Your Fringe shows are sold out! Would like to get to one of your shows. Please let me know when you’re doing more. I’m not on social media, so no Facebook. There’s something to complain about. Missing out because one’s not on social media. Congrats and cheers.
I wonder if you'd save me the trouble of watching "The Idea of You" by satisfying my curiosity about something: Assuming that Hayes and Solene stay together at the end of the movie, how do they attempt to justify it? Does Hayes make some sort of pledge to "grow up"? Does Solene make a corresponding pledge to "chill out"?
they do not attempt to justify it, except through the incredible strength of their bond! However, they do separate for 5 years, so that by the time they get back together Solene's 17 year old daughter is less affected.
Well, I haven't watched a recent rom-com for a long time, so I'm probably not best placed to judge anymore. Nora Ephron set a pretty high standard, back in the day. As for being old and jaded, that's just coincidental to all this, in my case...
I'd love to attend the next letter of complaint event! Sounds like my idea of a good time. That final quote you shared from Paul Lynch is a doozy. Thanks!

Yes, it was a big surprise! Next show is on March 20th. Are you on Insta? https://www.instagram.com/complaintletterslive/ I’ll put a link for tickets up here
Love a good rant.
Sounds fabulous. Sorry I missed it, but looking forward to the next event.
I’m not on Instagram. Only email and WhatsApp. Do you have a website? Otherwise, I’ll look out in The Rechabite marketing emails. Thanks

I think we're both well on the way to listing contemporary rom-coms amongst the things that make us go, "Hmm..." :)
do you think old rom-coms do it better or are we just old and jaded, Glen? :)
